Famous psychologist and linguist Steven Pinker discusses the concept of progress, particularly how humanity has progressed within the years. He compares statistics from 2017 with 1988, the latter proving to have greater casualties and conflicts. I agree with Pinker that humanity has experienced progress and that we have grown more enlightened in modern times. Although we still suffer from issues, such as poverty and terrorism, numbers have evidently decreased in the past three decades.
